Erik Gross, Cymbal Instructor
Erik Gross is a former member of the UD Drumline where he marched on the cymbal line from 2013-2016. While attending UD, Erik majored in both Accounting and Finance. He then graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree. Erik then went on to attend Goldey-Beacom College, garnering a Master’s of Science in Finance, as well as a Master’s of Business Administration (focus in Taxation).
Erik began teaching at the University of Delaware in 2017 as a cymbal technician. Erik also assists with the bass line at UD and has taught and consulted with various groups in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Outside of his teaching experience, Erik has also marched with the Bushwackers Drum and Bugle Corps in 2014 on bass drum and with the Reading Buccaneers in 2015 on the cymbal line. Indoor experience includes two seasons with Cadets Winter Percussion (2014 & 2016) surrounding a 2015 season with Field of View percussion, all on their respective cymbal lines. Prior to this, he went to high school at Saucon Valley, where he played in the Marching Band for six years in various battery positions.
Outside of band, Erik is a Financial Consultant in the Turnaround/Restructuring field, as well as a cat fanatic and avid rubber duck collector.
